Student projects are of three types:

• Semester/Bachelors projects - these are short projects which are undertaken as part of undergraduate training.
• Masters projects - these are longer duration (typically 6 months, depending on department) for undergradates.
• PhD projects - these are paid full time 3 year projects. You must be admitted to the ETH as a graduate student.

For all projects, you must be a registered student either at the University of Zurich or the ETH Zurich. This restriction applies even for visiting students, although it is possible to register as a visiting student.
