My research interests
My interest lies in the processing of visual information in
the primate brain and on the role of Virtual
Reality in neurorehabilitation. I study a variety of issues
using mostly psychophysics and imaging techniques such as fMRI or
functional Near Infra Red Spectroscopy (fNIRS). Currently, my main
research topics are:
- The processing of color signals in extrastriate cortex
- The relation between form and color perception
- The neural basis of visual awareness
- The application of VR systems in neurorehabilitation
and
- The effects of Virtual Reality on cortical processing
These studies are done either in my own laboratory at INI, or in
collaboration with a number of other groups:
