I graduated from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ) with a BSc. in biology in September 2013. After two years of general biology studies, I focused mainly on courses related to neuroscience and neuroinformatics. I attended the HHMI Janelia Farm Summer School in 2012, where I worked on the development of a segmentation tool for collaborative dense annotation of large serial-section electron microscopy datasets with an interface to a semi-automated reconstruction pipeline. I started as a student in INI’s master’s program in September 2013. Among other topics, I mainly want to learn more about neuromorphic engineering, machine learning and computer vision. In my free time I like to exercise in the gym, travel and learn more about other cultures, and develop software.
